Přístroje, které měří teplotu
Na rozdíl od většiny hodinek a dalších produktů s měřením teploty, je senzor Kestrel umístěn mimo pouzdro, aby zajistil, že měří vzduch, nikoli vaši ruku nebo kapsu. "Zákruty" slouží k dalšímu oddělení teplotního senzoru od vlivu teploty pouzdra. Opět stačí Kestrel několikrát mávnout tam a zpět a za pár sekund budete mít přesné hodnoty teploty vzduchu. A protože je Kestrel zcela vodotěsný, můžete skutečně měřit teplotu vody a sněhu – jednoduše ponořte senzor do vody nebo sněhu. Stačí se zeptat amerického biatlonového týmu – použili Kestrel 4000 na Zimních olympijských hrách 2006 k měření teploty vzduchu a sněhu, aby určili vhodný vosk na své lyže.
