Kestrel 5500 Weather Meter at the Edinburgh Christmas Festival

We just explored Edinburgh Scotland's Christmas Festival. It was an amazing adventure for everyone. Despite the challenging weather, with rain, wind, and cold temperatures, the festival-goers' spirits remained unspoiled. To us, it infused a smidgen of extra delightful bliss!

We toted along our nifty Kestrel 5500 Weather Meter to ascertain secure wind velocities for ride operation. Although the winds were averaging 24-32 KMH with gusts up to 80 KMH, these speeds were comfortably within the safety range of most of the equipment.

After getting our eco stats, we checked out the stalls with all kinds of local grub, booze, and everything tartan. As our family has Scottish roots, I reached out to my mom back in the states. She mentioned that we have some relatives in the Stewart Clan, so I grabbed a few wool blankets, scarves, wallets, and gloves in the vibrant red and blue design of the Stewart Clan. Snuggling up with a cozy wool blanket on a chilly winter's eve is pure bliss!

If you ever have the opportunity, Edinburgh is a marvelous city to explore. This was our clan's inaugural holiday getaway and we couldn't have picked a more perfect spot!
